Frank Waechter

Frank started as a bank trainee after school. After studies he moved into a consultant role, which – being a banker – quickly brought him to the relatively new field of Corporate Treasury, where he spent several years with KPMG Consulting (later: Bearing Point). There he started to build up a Treasury Mid (& Project) Office, before being promoted as their Group Treasurer. In 2011 Frank joined PUMA as their Group Treasurer and Insurer, where he was hired to build up a Group Treasury & Insurance function from scratch. This journey includes basically a full portfolio of Treasury & Insurance projects to its current fully-fletched operations in both areas. These projects resulted in disruptions, super-stringent standards and innovations, where Frank worked on establishing true (and honest) Win-Win-Win-situations for everybody involved like the ForeverBetter Vendor Financing Program, where PUMA pioneered an ESG-linked Supply Chain Program in Europe. Besides this Frank is engaging with the German treasurers association and with sustainable trade finance initiatives like with World Bank, United Nations and International Chamber of Commerce.
