Mr. John Lorist
Director, Frievar

John Lorist is a pig farmer and entrepreneur. He has owned and operated a breeding farm since 1988 and co-founded Frievar some fifteen years ago. Frievar has developed its supply chain concept into one of the most sophisticated in the Netherlands. Lorist holds a degree in management from the Agrarische Hogeschool in Dronten and an MBA in Food & Finance from Nyenrode Business Universiteit.

Pieter Klapwijk, one of the founders of the Supply Chain Finance Community, has been involved with all aspects of supply chains throughout his entire working life. He has done so as a management consultant (partner with A.T. Kearney), academic (Professor at Nyenrode University) and as an entrepreneur. Klapwijk is one of the founders of AgOS, the latest venture that he is involved in.
