They touched upon the opportunities, current challenges, and the way forward for ESG in SCF.

Michiel Steeman was selected in 2013 as the inaugural holder of the Supply Chain Finance Professorship at the Windesheim University of Applied Sciences in The Netherlands. He is also the founder and chairman of the Supply Chain Finance Community that has already brought together over 30 leading business schools from more than 20 countries around the world who actively collaborate with companies, banks and governments in the developing field of Supply Chain Finance.

Jelle Goossens a treasury professional with 18 years of financial risk management experience in a variety of treasury roles with progressive responsibilities operating in Europe and Asia. During his journey, he has grown closer to other business stakeholders and has learned to appreciate the bigger picture in which the treasury function operates. He has worked in Treasury at the Barry Callebaut Group for almost 15 years, where he is currently the Head of Treasury. The Barry Callebaut Group engages actively in the field of sustainability, and they currently have the goal to make sustainable chocolate the norm by 2025.

Friedemann Kirchhof has worked in Finance for over 10 years and he became Head of Supply Chain Finance at Siemens around three years ago. Throughout these years he gained a lot of experience in working with proprietary bank solutions and fintechs.
